Oh the weather outside is frightful, but with music it can be delightful-so grab your skates and head into Lodo, down to the classical Daniels and Fisher Clock Tower for some ice rinking and a bit of the Wendy Clark Band featuring Jim Ruberto, Rhett Haney, Andy Sweetzer and, of course, Wendy Clark. The Southwest rink is in Skyline Park at 511 16th Street, Denver 80202- a show for all ages so bring the kids and watch everyone fall on their keesters while grooving to the tunes. The show is Saturday, February 1 from 8-10PM. Skating is free and skate rental costs $2.00…stay tuned to the next post for info on an early February show at the Toad with the WCB!
Sorry fans, didn’t mean to go mental on you with the last post – the date implied was a bit misleading and needs to be apologized for….the Wendy Clark Band will be performing at Tennyson’s Tap on the 13th of December…still plenty of time to prepare for a fantastic show at a great price…only $5-that’s more than Brittany paid for that hairdo! Also playing that night will be Gata Negra and Toddy Ivy so come on out and get your dance on!
Since the earliest Thanksgiving dinners held in this country, Pilgrims and Native Americans would gather on the following Friday to watch the Wendy Clark Band perform……okay, maybe we’re stretching the truth a bit here, but what a wonderful way for you to get out this Friday to go see Wendy and her band perform at Tennyson’s Tap, along with Gata Negra and Toddy Ivy. Tickets are only $5 at the door – less than the price of a pumpkin pie in some parts of the world so get out this Friday and start the weekend with some great music!
Wendy Clark would like to wish all her fans a Happy Thanksgiving and wants yo to know how thankful she is to have so many loyal listeners out there. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday!
Cold weather is on the horizon but don’t let that stop you from getting out and warming up with a bit of rock from the Wendy Clark Band. Make a date on your calendar for December 13th (yeah, that’s a Friday the 13th) at Tennyson’s Tap as the Wendy Clark Band performs with Gata Negra and Toddy Ivy. Tennyson’s is the place to hear great live music so forget your superstitions, grab a black cat, walk under a ladder and come on out to hear Wendy and her group of usual suspects play the night away. $5 at the door and just a reminder, this is a 21+ club so leave the kids at home for this one. Tennyon’s is located at 4335 East 38th Street in Denver so start the weekend off right and go listen to some quality music.
Wendy and her band of ghouls are getting jazzed up for this Saturday’s show at the Toad Tavern. Wendy wanted to give a quick shout out to Brian Blush (pictured here practicing for the shows at the Toad and Cork) as well as Jamon Scott of the Toluenes for stopping by the Mile High city and sitting in for three wonderful shows.
